Is there anything new at the 2023 Motorhome and Caravan Show?

Next month’s Motorhome and Caravan Show held at Birmingham’s NEC will be the first opportunity for people to see the new 2024 caravans.

Here are some of the new models on show.

Coachman stand 19-20

For 2024 Coachman have updated graphics on all models and made changes to the soft furnishings. Fridges are now but Thetford instead of Dometic.

Gone are the single axle VIP 540 Xtra and twin axle Laser 620 Xtra, both being 8′ wide.

The Laser 665 grows from 7’7″ wide to being 8′ wide and now goes by the name Laser 665 Xtra.  The washroom has been redesigned and the rear single beds are wider.

The Laser Xcel 850 has gone through the most changes with a new layout to the washroom and bedroom.  Coachman who pioneered the modern central washroom have stepped back from this layout for 2024.

Swift Stand 6-33

With Swift it is a case of additions and subtractions.

Gone are all of the standard Challenger and Challenger Grande models, the higher specification SE versions remain.

The high specification single axle Conqueror models have been dropped after just two years since their introduction.

There is one new Sprite model for 2024, the twin axle 8′ wide Sprite Grande Quattro EB.

Two new single axle Elegance Grande models have been introduced, the end island bed 760 with L shaped lounge and the side island bed 780 with straight front beds.  Another new layout is the twin axle 860 which is longer version of the 760.  All Elegance Grande models are 8′ wide

The big news for 2024 is the introduction of the Challenger Exclusive range, available in standard and 8′ wide Grande widths.  Body styling takes the body of the Challenger SE and uses graphics of the previous Conqueror models, interiors features different cool shades.

Unusually the 9 model range of two to six berth Challenger Exclusive models are only available from a select number of Swift dealers.

Erwin Hymer Group Stands 20-19 Elddis, 20-14 Buccaneer, 20-15 Xplore

With EHG this big news is that the Compass brand has been dropped for 2024, meaning no Casita, Capiro or Camino models. No new additions have been added to the Elddis Avanté, Affinity or Crusader ranges or the luxury Buccaneer range.

The Xplore range of four models have gone through the biggest change with new graphics, GRP sides and yellow themed interiors.

Bailey Stand 19-25Bailey are celebrating their 75 anniversary with two new ranges

Bailey are celebrating their 75th anniversary with two new ranges.

The Phoenix+ ranges becomes the Phoenix GT75, the old five berth 650 has been dropped and the twin axle six berth 762 uses a layout last used on the old Senator Carolina.

The Pegasus Grande SE gets a new and slightly longer name, the Pegasus Grande GT75. Drastically reduced to four models with the Rimini, Ancona, Turin and Palermo models gone, however two new family models have been promised.  The models that had the G shaped lounge have the feature changed to an L shaped lounge.  The Portofino is new model.

Tickets for the show are limited, and like last year there are no ‘on the door sales’.

The show runs from 17-22 October 2023 at the NEC, full details and ticket details at mcshow.co.uk.
