I was recently asked if there would be anything new on display at Motorhome and Caravan Show from the major caravan manufacturers.
Whilst is is true that many caravans are staying the same for 2023 as they were in 2022, with only minor changes there are some new caravans on display.

Bailey are keeping things were much ‘as they were’ with no changes to the existing models and ranges.
There is one new model though, the twin axle Evora in the 8′ wide Alicanto Grande range.

The Evora features a side island double bed, end washroom and an L shaped kitchen, like the over Alicanto Grande models.

Erwin Hymer Group UK are also keeping things the same for 2023 with no changes to the Xplore, Elddis Avanté, Elddis Affinity, Compass Casita, Compass Capiro and the Buccaneer ranges.

There are substantial changes however to the Elddis Crusader and Compass Camino ranges with a new body design shared with the top of the range Buccaneer.

One new layout for 2023 is the Crusader Tempest/Camino 668. These models share the same family layout as the Avanté 868/Casita 868.

Coachman are keeping the VIP, Laser, Laser Xcel and Lusso ranges generally the same for 2023, again only minimal changes being made.
The Acadia range goes through the most changes with a new layout in the single axle 545, grey sides and new alloy wheels.

The twin axle 675 returns to the VIP lineup for the first time since 2018. They layout is an extended version of the popular 575 model and like all VIP model it is 7’7″ wide.

The Laser 665 for 2023 has a revised layout with a new washroom layout where the wardrobe and washbasin have changed positions. The 665 is the only Laser madel that is 7’7″ wide.

The 8′ wide Laser Xcel ranges features one revised layout, the 850 and one new layout, the 855.

The changes to the 850 mainly features around the washroom revisions as per the Laser 665. The 855 features and L shaped loung with TV fitted on the wall by the door. At the rear there is and island double bed.

Swift Group have made the most changes for 2023 with new graphics across all ranges, some new layouts, new model designations. Here is just a brief look at the changes.

The Basecamp continues with new graphics for 2023 and a new 3 berth model with a lift up bed at the front.

The popular Sprite range has new graphics and interior finishes for 2013. Layout remain the same and the 8′ wide Super models are renamed Grande.

The Challenger is possibly the range that has gone through the most changes for 2023. There is a new body shell and for 2023 the Challenger SE returns with a higher specification.

The interior of the Challenger has been refershed too, for next year times of green are used, a traditional Swift colour.

The 8′ wide Challenger X range has been renamed Challenger Grande and layout all have new model designations to bring them inline with the standard width Challenger models. SE versions of the Challenger Grande are also available.

The Conqueror range has gone through minimal changes which is not surprising as the range was only relaunch for 2022. Inside a lighter woodgrain is used and on the outside grey side walls and a new rear panel are added.

The Elegance Grande range has been refershed with grey side and a new rear panel, like the Conqueror. The Grande name returns to this 8′ wide range. New graphics and gas locker door are used for 2023.

The interior has been completely redesigned with styling similar to that seen in some European motorhomes.
So, is there anything new at the Motorhome and Caravan Show, I’d say there is. There will also be lots of dealer specials on show for the first time too.
The show is at the NEC Birmingham from 18 – 23 October 2022.
This is a ticket only show and full details can be found, including how to buy tickets, at mcshow.co.uk.
